1. Beg permission to speak freely.
2. Beg if you maybe of service.
3. Express your gratitude and Honor for being allowed to
serve.
4. Beg to know what they want and/or how they want it
and if they are ordering drink and meal ask if they want
the drink served before or with the meal.
5. Rise, take three steps back keeping your eyes lowered then
pivot and head towards servery/firepit
6. Get everything that is necessary for the serve. Make it
descriptive and pleasing and short! .. Your time is better
spent before the Master/Mistress in interaction with them.
Always keep your full attention on the Master/Mistress
and be prepared to respond to any comment they make.
7. Kneel before the Master/Mistress, and begin final
preperations such as pouring the drink, asking how they
want their blackwine, etc...
8. Raise the vessel past thighs, slave heat, belly, breasts and
unless you already know if you should or not, beg to
prove the drink/food.
9a. If asked to prove, sample either the beverage and/or food
and be sure to sample everything! before moving onto 9b.
9b. Press the vessel to your heart, wait for three heart beats:
for love, devotion and obedience. Fully express yourself
about your emotions relating to that love.
10. Lift the vessel to your lips and kiss the side (not the rim)
of the vessel, once again expressing your emotions or
thoughts. Turn the kissed side facing the Master/Mistress.
11. Offer the vessel with arms stretched out towards the
Master/Mistress, bow your head between your arms and
tell the Master/Mistress how Honored, happy, etc..., you
are to be serving them.
12. Once they take the vessel from you either repeat the
above steps for each part of the meal or tower/nadu and
beg to know if there is any other way you maybe of
service to them.

Try not to have more than three or four lines a post, check and recheck for errors. You must appear sensual, but respectful, graceful and elegant. Below are the basics remember to make a serve your own and do NOT steal one from another slave.
1. A short simple serve that has all the required elements in it is always better than a long detailed serve that is missing something. Start out with a basic serve, and then add a little something each time. Each serve should contain the following elements:
-approach the Master and offer service
-leave the Master and approach the servery
-locate the appropriate serving vessel, clean it, and test it
-get the drink
-return to the Master
-offer Him the drink
-be sure to thank Him for allowing you to serve
2. Be familiar with all of the Gorean foods and drinks, and how each one is served. Bear in mind, though, that the Master's wishes are foremost. If he wants His blackwine served in a bowl, then bring it to Him in a bowl.

3. Also be familiar with the layout of each tavern. Each servery will be a little bit
different. Some taverns do not have a servery, but have a kitchen instead. Some are not taverns but are camps, and may have a wagon where the serving implements are kept.

4. Vary your serve according to a particular Master's wishes. this one keeps a little book where she writes down notes about how each Master likes to be served. Some prefer a shorter serve, some like it long and involved. Some like it sexy, some prefer it more subdued. Some like the drink sweetened, some do not. this girl knows of one Free Woman who likes to have three ramberries placed in her ka-la-na. Knowing these things without being told will please the Master greatly.

5. A serve is one way of showing yourself off to the Master. Describe what you look like, what you are feeling, what you are doing. Be sure to not just describe what you are doing; tell Him how you feel about serving Him, the sensations that you feel in your body as you go about the serve.

6. Make the serve your own. Watch your sisters, learn from them, get ideas from them. But do not copy their serves and use them as your own. Not only is that the sign of a lazy slave, it is outright stealing. That slave you might be tempted to copy from has worked very hard to make her serve an expression of her personality and her submission, and you should do the same.

7. A slave should never use macros in her serve. This is just another sign of a lazy slave. This girl has a general outline that she uses when she serves, and she has certain phrases that are characteristic of each serve--her trademarks, so to speak. But each serve should be unique. Each Master is different, and each situation is different as well. Cookie cutter serves are not pleasing. And, consider this--suppose something happens in the middle of your serve. Perhaps the Master calls out to you that He has changed His mind, He wants something else. Or maybe He calls out for You to bring a mug for His Brother. Be
prepared for anything.
How to type a serve:
Fetching The Drink or Food: this is your opportunity to describe yourself, to paint a mental photograph for all watching, so be descriptive.
Selecting The Goblet, Mug, Bowl or Platter: again, an opportunity to show the care you take when serving and the joy with which you serve.
Delivering The Drink or Food: more descriptions of yourself, your beauty and joyfulness in serving.
The Kneeling Position: describe how gracefully you move to this position and the beauty of your body as you display it for the Master/Mistress's pleasure.
Head Erect, but Eyes Lowered: shows pride in serving, but also displays your submission.
Offer of Drink or Food: with upraised arms, over head to show your complete submission to the Master/Mistress being served.
Return to nadu position: submission is complete with this move, you merely await either release or further orders.
(A Few Things to Consider When Serving)
Botas on Gor are made from cured and tanned verrskin. They are mostly used for carrying liquids while traveling like a canteen from Earth. Consider, if you will, the taste of something kept for any length of time within the cured skin of an animal, especially an alcoholic beverage. They are not used in camps, and not normally used in more permanent camps. In camps drinks are kept in casks and/or bottles, and the same is true for more permanent campsites.
For the most part the drinking vessels on Gor are simple; goblets, cups, and bowls of fired and glazed clay, possibly even glass goblets and porcelain or ceramic cups. Bowls might be carved from hardwood and polished well or made of fired clay or ceramic, and Bazi tea glasses are made of simple glass.
In many serves the slave will kiss the rim of the vessel of the drink she is serving. This is incorrect, a slave may never kiss upon the rim where a Free Person will be drinking from.

Each part of the serve has a function and reason for being in the serve:

1. Fetching The Drink or Food: this is your opportunity to describe yourself, to paint a mental photograph for all watching, so be descriptive

2. Selecting The Goblet, Mug, Bowl or Platter: again, an opportunity to show the care you takes when serving and the joy with which you serve

3. Delivering The Drink or Food: more descriptions of yourself and your beauty and joyfulness in serving

4. The Nadu Position: describe how gracefully you move to this position and the beauty of your body as you display it for the Master/Mistress's pleasure

5. Touching Slave Heat: for White silks, this is only done for your Owner or Protector, no one else. For other silks, the choice is yours or your Master's or Mistress's

6. Touching the Slave Belly: shows devotion to serving

7. Touching the Slave Heart: show further devotion and love in your submission

8. Kissing The Rim of Bowl, Goblet, Mug or Platter: display of love and affection and also proof that this food or drink is safe to be consumed by the Master/Mistress being served

9. Head Erect, but Eyes Lowered: shows pride in serving, but also displays your submission

10. Offer of Drink or Food: with upraised arms, over head to show your complete submission to the Master/Mistress being served

11. Return to nadu position: submission is complete with this move, you merely await either release or further orders
